We will be having an orientation day meeting on Saturday, 11th of February, starting 2.00 pm at the Fremantle Arts Centre, 1 Finnerty Street Fremantle.
The FotoFreo office is upstairs on the first floor of the North Wing of the centre and you get there through the main reception area.
Topics to be covered in during the afternoon will include:
- An outline of the Festival planned for 2012
- Identification of the tasks we will be seeking the volunteers to undertake
- Getting some preliminary commitments from volunteers about duties and rosters
- Appointment of Venue Captains
- Contingency plans
The meeting will close at 4.00 pm.
Another date to put in your diary is Saturday, 3rd of March. On that day there will be an installation workshop from 1.00 – 3:30pm. The workshop will be held at the Perth Centre of Photography, 100 Aberdeen Street in Northbridge (phone 9227 5143).
The workshop, which is free for FotoFreo Volunteers, will be conducted by Paul Caporn and Lyle Branson. During this workshop the scheduling for the installation of the festival exhibits will be outlined and the requirements for handling the work explained along with the various procedures that will most likely be employed.
If you have never been involved in ‘hanging a show’ this will be an informative experience!
